How to Create a New Fingerprint Browser Environment: A Beginner-Friendly Setup Guide

When you manage cross-border e-commerce, overseas social media, or multiple accounts, you often need a tool that keeps the login sessions, Cookies, and local data of different accounts stored separately and isolated from one another. Step 1: Configure the basic settings and give the environment a clear identity

The first step is to give the environment a unique, easy-to-recognize "identity" so you can find it quickly later.

• Environment name: Choose a name you can recognize at a glance, such as "TikTok-Main" or "Amazon-Store1." With only a few accounts this may not seem important, but once you have many environments, clear naming makes it much easier to tell which environment belongs to which account.
• Group: Add a label to categorize environments, for example by platform or team. This keeps the environment list organized and makes account management easier. If you only have a few accounts, you can leave groups for later.
• Operating system: Select the device system this environment should emulate. PurpleMark supports Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and more. If you have no special requirement, keep Windows and choose a mainstream version such as Win10/Win11, which generally offers the best day-to-day compatibility. Only switch to Android/iOS or macOS when the platform you operate requires a mobile environment or when you need to match your local device. Avoid very old operating-system versions because they are uncommon, less compatible, and more likely to look abnormal.
• Chromium engine and User-Agent: The engine version affects webpage compatibility, while the UA includes details such as the operating-system version, browser version, and engine, and is closely tied to the selected operating system. • Cookie: A Cookie acts like a website's "login credential + memory file" stored in the browser. If you already have Cookies exported from another environment, you can paste them here. • Notes: Use this field for reminders such as important account details. It does not affect the environment itself and can be left blank.

Step 2: Configure a proxy so the environment has a corresponding outbound IP

If basic settings define "who this environment is," the proxy defines "where this environment goes online from." If multiple environments share the same outbound IP, a platform may still treat them as coming from the same source even when their browser fingerprints differ, which can create account-linking risk. The core goal of proxy configuration is therefore to assign an independent outbound IP that matches the region of your business. PurpleMark provides three proxy options when creating an environment:

• No proxy: The environment connects directly through your local network. This is suitable when you do not need a specific region.
• Custom proxy: If you have already purchased an IP from a third-party proxy provider, enter the proxy parameters here. Supported types include HTTP, HTTPS, Socks5, SSH, and others. A common format is host:port:username:password, which can usually be pasted as one string for automatic parsing. After entering the details, click Check Proxy to test connectivity.
• Select an existing proxy: If you operate at scale and create many environments, it is better to add your proxies to PurpleMark's Proxy Management page first, including the name, type, host, port, group, and outbound IP. Then you can simply select the appropriate proxy when creating an environment instead of re-entering the parameters each time and risking input errors.

Step 3: Choose the account platform and set fixed startup pages

• Bind a business account / platform: Major cross-border, social media, and e-commerce platforms are usually available in the built-in list, including Facebook, Amazon, LinkedIn, X, PayPal, Google, and others. After you select one, opening the environment takes you to that platform's official login page, saving you from typing the URL manually. If the platform is not in the built-in list, select other and enter the platform domain manually.
• Fixed startup webpages: Add one URL per line in advance. For example, Amazon operators can add the seller dashboard, while TikTok operators can add the creator center. The environment then opens directly to your work pages, which saves considerable time for frequent tasks.

Common mistakes to avoid

• Beginners do not need to change advanced fingerprint settings: The lower part of the create-environment page usually includes fingerprint parameters and advanced settings such as resolution, timezone, WebGL, and Canvas in addition to the operating system. These options are intended for advanced users who need fine-grained customization. Beginners should keep the defaults so the environment remains usable and so manual changes do not create inconsistencies between parameters.
• Use global defaults when many environments should share the same preferences: If you want a batch of environments to use the same common settings, configure workspace defaults in PurpleMark's global settings first, then create the environments. This reduces repeated data entry.
• Check the recycle bin if you accidentally delete an environment or proxy: PurpleMark's recycle bin retains deleted environments and proxies for up to 30 days, so you may be able to restore them shortly after deletion. However, it is not a permanent backup, so important data should still be backed up separately.
