Fingerprint browsers usually provide default fingerprint parameters when you create a new profile, and those defaults are enough for most use cases. As your workflow becomes more specialized, you can fine-tune RAM, resolution, WebGPU, WebRTC, Do Not Track, and other settings for advertising or stronger privacy needs. This guide uses PurpleMark as an example.
When you create a new profile in a fingerprint browser, the setup page usually comes with a set of default fingerprint parameters. These are general-purpose values the tool provider has tested against mainstream international platforms. For most workflows, using the defaults is enough.
As your operation becomes more advanced, or when you have specific needs such as advertising or stronger privacy protection, you may want to fine-tune a few parameters so the environment better matches the task. Using PurpleMark as an example, here are several reference configurations. Keep in mind that real-world results are also affected by your local network and other factors, so observe actual behavior after changes instead of copying settings mechanically.
Advertising-focused scenarios: parameters worth adjusting

Advertising workflows often involve running many profiles and creative assets. You can start with these settings:
- Set RAM (memory) based on workload: Device memory can be customized when creating a profile. For normal office work and browsing, 4–8GB is usually enough. If you work with video or graphics-heavy ad creatives, you can set a higher value so the environment has enough resources.
- Randomize resolution: The default is usually a stable, broadly compatible resolution predefined based on the UA. If you are creating a batch of profiles for advertising and want more varied device characteristics, switch resolution to a random mode so each profile gets a different resolution and the whole batch does not look overly uniform.
- Set WebGPU to “Real”: The default “based on WebGL” mode is stable and compatible. If your advertising work is mainly video-heavy, switching WebGPU to “Real” can make better use of graphics processing and improve video decoding and rendering smoothness.
Privacy-focused scenarios: parameters worth adjusting
If you have higher privacy requirements, these are common additions:
- Enable Do Not Track: Send a “do not track” request to websites as an additional way to reduce behavioral data collection. Note that platforms implement this request differently, so it should not be treated as an absolute privacy guarantee.
- Set WebRTC to “Replace/Forward”: Disabling WebRTC by default helps minimize exposure of the real outbound IP, but it can limit sites that rely on real-time communication or video. When needed, switch to “Replace” (using the proxy-side WebRTC IP) or “Forward” for smoother operation on platforms that require real-time features.
- Randomize resolution: As above, giving different profiles different resolutions can reduce uniformity across a batch of device profiles.
Platform-specific fine-tuning reference
Different platforms may be sensitive to different fingerprint characteristics. Adjust as appropriate; these are examples, not mandatory rules:
- Amazon: RAM and WebGPU can matter more for keeping pages and advertising assets loading smoothly;
- X / Twitter: Resolution and WebRTC may deserve more attention;
- eBay, Discord: These platforms can rely more on WebRTC real-time capabilities, so “Forward” may be worth considering.
Three key reminders
- Default parameters are enough most of the time: Fine-tune only when your workflow has a clear need. Do not change settings just for the sake of changing them.
- Keep key parameters consistent with the IP: For parameters tied to IP-based identification, especially geolocation, time zone, and language, try to keep them consistent with the region indicated by the IP you use. For example, if the IP points to a U.S. state while the time zone and language point somewhere else, the environment becomes internally inconsistent and may cause more problems.
- Frequent changes are unnecessary: Fingerprint parameters do not need daily adjustment. Optimize them periodically based on business needs.
